The Big Picture:

In this role you will expedite critical components for New Build projects to ensure supplier On Time Delivery. You will also expedite internal functions to ensure that the required information is made available to suppliers to enable them to execute orders. Developing and managing relationships with manufacturers, suppliers & sub-contractors to ensure success.
What needs to be done?
After PO confirmation, install a weekly planning with the supplier detailing each production step for all items over 6 weeks delivery including critical documentation submissions/approvals.
Expedite daily, all critical suppliers and maintain AX in order to attain 95% On Time Delivery.
Champion data integrity within AX, where PO values and dates are accurate. Work on weekly missing parts to update the status of AX and pro-actively escalate on potential delays.
Develop and manage relationships with manufacturers, supplies & sub-contractors establishing key contacts to support expediting and escalation.
Generate and maintain expediting reports and attend Daily Management/POC/Project Review Meetings as the Purchasing representative; present status of expediting and communicate risks and issues identified.
Identify risks of supplier lateness/slippage and utilise this in the escalation for physical expediting visits. Oversee the resolution of risks, issues and discrepancies and report remedial action to reduce occurrence of risk.
Will be required to carry out expediting visits from time to time as and when required for project requirements.
Support the quality activities linked to expediting (inspection organisation, quality deviations and non-conformities)
Work with Finance to develop strategies and processes for improving POC recognition accuracy.
Attend project daily management to resolve and feedback actions to procurement team.
Develop and embed Supply Chain reporting into Procurement and Projects daily management process.
