Due to an increase in work within our Transmission & Distribution business moving into 2020 and beyond, we anticipate the need for Overhead Lines Design Engineers at all levels to support this growth and are willing to work from our offices in Glasgow.
Purpose of the position
Deliver drawings, documents and other design deliverables in accordance with engineering procedures, guidance notes and training
Assist the Lead Engineer in overall scheme design delivery, construction support and design management
Development of skills and knowledge, and support others, in line with business needs
Skills / Qualifications:
Formal academic engineering qualification - HNC or equivalent
Degree in engineering
OHL Industry recognised training and certification
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrable experience in an OHL engineering environment
Knowledge of OHL and related engineering specifications and standards, BSI, ENA
Knowledge of OHL related civil, structural and temporary works activities
Use of engineering, CAD and general document production software
Knowledge of HSE and CDM regulations
Contracting and Consulting experience
TNOand/or DNO specification knowledge
PLS, ProjectWise, Microstation, AutoCAD
Ability to perform Risk Assessments
