We are looking to hire an excellent Service Project Engineer to provide support to the transition of sales and programs to service in Hemel Hempstead.
In this role, you will be responsible for all service project activity which is outside of the programme management scope. You will work closely with programs to define a scope of work in order to put together a project plan and appropriate resources. Among your tasks, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the delivery/installation/commissioning phase of a project/programme, within the service department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for service projects – Installations, moves, recommissions, site surveys and trials.
Assist the UK service team with field activities when required
Provide Sales and Programs with service quotations
Generate work orders for projects/service activities
Provide customers with accurate quotations for service/project work
Perform site visits and client meetings to set firm expectations with all stakeholders and manage project delivery / execution.
Maintenance of technical skills and development of technical knowledge relevant to the SPT position
Proven experience of engineering work (installation, service, maintenance and repair) in the field.
Proven experience in a customer service role dealing with external customers/engineers/stakeholders.
Proven experience and knowledge of EDS, CXS, Trace and Checkpoint Solutions.
Knowledge or experience with industry standard Serial and Parallel interface protocol is desirable.
Knowledge or experience in testing including FAT, SAT and UAT.
Prince 2 / PMP qualification or relevant experience is highly desirable
Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office Suite
