Computershare have a great opportunity for people that are passionate about Business Intelligence and all things Data. We are currently recruiting for several Junior Business Intelligence Developers to join our expanding technology team in Edinburgh city centre.
You will be working with talented and experienced Developers to learn your craft. You will work with our stakeholders from across the globe, helping deliver high-quality data and reporting solutions as well as support the design and implementation of reporting/data management systems which will ultimately facilitate business decisions.
You will have an active part in delivering and supporting the team’s commitments and embrace continuous improvement across the wider department to help the drive business forward.
You will play a key part in supporting Computershare’s journey to be at the forefront of technology within the data space along with having the opportunity to help shape and define the standard of how we do this.
Show awareness of potential data integrity, confidentiality and availability issues.
Apply knowledge of standards, policies and organisational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across Computershare’s Technology Services and key stakeholders.
Learn from colleagues and share knowledge to enable them to contribute to the team’s overall goals.
Assure the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team – through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others. Ensure that your team delivers high-quality, maintainable software which adheres to internal standards and policies
Support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices that will drive the direction of the BI stack and benefit the
Build collaborative and effective working relationships with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
Skills & Experience
A level of exposure to business intelligence or data development
Knowledge of the data management processes as well as the development of front-end reporting and analytics solutions.
Some exposure or experience of SQL Server, BI toolkit (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and SQL programming plus data visualisation and performance tuning
A passionate individual who collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, and responds well to challenge from others whilst working together to share information and ideas with others
You will be a curious and continuous learner looking to build on existing skills
Self-motivated and can work with limited guidance to implement innovative solutions.
