Based in Lisburn, UK, the Electronic/Electrical Engineer internship is a role within the Engineering Department, enabling the Grid Solutions business to sell to a worldwide market. Under guidance of senior engineers, the successful candidate will design and develop novel Partial Discharge and Voltage sensing solutions.
Researching voltage & current sensing techniques.
Working with senior engineer to design and develop PD and voltage sensing solutions.
Schematic circuit design.
Analysis of circuit using LT Spice.
Prototype PCB / breadboard layout.
Design of tests.
Hands on bring up of prototypes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, Power point etc).
Desire to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
Strives for academic excellence and shows great initiative.
Currently working towards a degree in a relevant discipline (Electronics, Mechatronics, Electronics & Instrumentation etc)
