This is a significant opportunity for an ambitious individual to help shape the future of genomic and tech-driven medicine and to improve health and economic outcomes for millions of patients at a dynamic health intelligence start-up.
We are looking for someone to lead all the Value and Market Access activities, including overall Market Access Strategy and Pricing, Stakeholder Engagement and other related Commercialization, Health Technology Assessment, Global Value Dossier Development and Submissions, Payor/Provider Negotiations, and Health Economic and Outcomes Research planning and execution. Develop necessary firm capabilities to pursue these vital activities while reporting directly to the Business Unit Leader and working closely the Leadership, Commercial, Medical, Product, and Scientific teams.
For each core product/offering, develop and execute strategy and tactics in each of the Market Access domains described above (Overall Strategy and Pricing, Stakeholder Engagement, HTA and GVD, Payor/Provider Negotiations, and HEOR) for key prioritized markets
Develop multi-year product Access commercialization roadmaps, addressing each of the domains described above (Overall Strategy and Pricing, Stakeholder Engagement, HTA and GVD, Payor/Provider Negotiations, and HEOR)
With BU Leadership, develop revenue/income targets for each core product and lead business toward achieving these
Develop deep insight into customer and Stakeholder needs related to genomics and to company products and use this to inform Market Access and broader Commercial strategy/tactics
Represent the company and its core product to key external Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Medical/Scientific, Policy, and other Stakeholders, and ensure that core products develop necessary evidence base for successful engagement of these Stakeholders
Build company Market Access capabilities local country teams to enable strategy development and execution
Build consensus across the company on Market Access priorities for core products
Partner with world-class scientists, engineers, designers, clinical/regulatory experts, strategists, and commercial colleagues in the development and commercialization of distinctive, transformative products
Contribute to the leadership and development of a world-class global healthcare company and culture.
The valuable strength of experience and capabilities you bring to the role will include:
Demonstrable and sustained Market Access leadership experience and record of success in a fast growing MDx, medical device, biopharma, genetic or healthcare software environment, working on clinical and/or institutional capability products.
Comprehensive ability to achieve strategic goals in a fast-paced environment, and to evolve global/local country Market Access strategy based on data, industry trends, customer needs.
Deep understanding of the operational requirements for successful key geography Market Access commercialization in each of the domains described above (Overall Strategy and Pricing, Stakeholder Engagement, HTA and GVD development/submissions, Payor/Provider Negotiations, and HEOR). Track record of success delivering these, resulting in significant Market Access and ultimately commercial success.
Strong entrepreneurial, leadership, and project management skills, including in situations requiring long-lead times/advanced planning and significant cross-functional collaboration strategically and operationally; ability to identify the Market Access path to commercializing a new health technology in specific countries and to convey complex priorities/goals to cross-disciplinary team members with different backgrounds and levels of expertise.
Sophisticated external stakeholder engagement, management, and communication abilities
General knowledge of genetics, molecular technologies (genotyping, sequencing) and its applications.
Desirable: the above, plus
MBA, MSc or PhD in a scientific discipline, and/or M.D
10 + years Market Access experience with in MDx, biopharma (especially precision medicine and new therapeutic modalities, and/or medical device
