About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen our Business Solutions team on an 18mth fixed term contract.
You’ll proactively take responsibility for building robust high-quality software that will provide great benefit to our colleagues and customers. You will take an active part in all parts of the software development lifecycle from design through to implementation. You will work closely with Business Systems Analysts, Process systems managers and other developers to shape build and deliver software across our bespoke application landscape. You will get the opportunity to work on our web-based repairs and stock survey applications, our tenant web portal, as well as our main Housing Management System.
Typical tasks will include diagnosing issues in Triage sessions, providing bug fixes, software enhancements, and the development of new modules or applications.
We adopt an agile approach to software delivery at Paradigm which aims to introduce change in an iterative manner continuously reflecting and improving on what we deliver.
Our software is paramount to the successful running of our business and this role is critical to the continuous maintenance and improvement of that software.
We are looking for a talented software developer, preferably with experience in developing using the Visual Lansa low code toolset.
You’ll need to a good balance of problem solving and communication skills with the ability to influence, support and constructively challenge stakeholders.
Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with Visual Lansa experience, we are prepared to offer full training to the right candidate with experience of developing business software on any platform. An understanding of relational databases and object-oriented programming is essential and experience of using version control systems and agile working would be an advantage.
While Housing sector experience would also be a benefit, we offer a comprehensive induction programme for anyone bringing out of sector expertise to our team.
