Performs routine, structured work accross Rail Asset Management disciplines and demonstrates ability to take on more tasks and increased responsibility
+ Work on a variety of projects from delivery of a factual report within the confines of a framework to more specialist consultancy within your area of expertise
+ Develop a sound knowledge base of railway engineering and work alongside our specialists in one or more areas of knowledge relating to Trackbed / Ground Engineering / Geotechnics / Railway Drainage, where experience will typically be developed through a combination of job-related training and on-the-job experience
+ Writing and preparation of reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant technical standards and contract technical remits
+ Customer focus
+ Participate in improvements to existing processes and delivering solutions
+ Work within established procedures and practices, with decisions guided by senior staff, policy, procedures and business plan
+ Adhere to work priorities based on direction from Managers
+ Take ownership of one or more tasks in the delivery of work efforts
+ Site Works Management duties - provide leadership for the work group
+ Contribution to tenders
+ Opportunity for the deputy management of projects

+ Builds analytic and design skills.
+ Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
+ Minimum 2 year experience within similar projects and a consulting engineering environment;
+ Experience of working in the UK Rail Industry and working knowledge of relevant standards within the operational rail environment.
