What we offer:
To find, diagnose and rectify faults on Forklift Trucks and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible
To prepare FLT’s to the standard required for New, Short Term Rental and USED sales, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible.
To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe workplace.
Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/It systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers
Liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly
To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct
To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and work to strict deadlines
Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failures.
Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
To collect and return Forklift Trucks to site/base once serviced
Work under own initiative without constant supervision
To take on any additional duties as required by the Line Manager to ensure smooth running of the department.
Any other duties which arise as a result of the above
Tasks and Qualifications:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or relevant industry experience
Mechanical background with basic electrical skills
Experience of working on vehicles, forklifts, plant machinery etc.
Good communicator with a customer focused approach
Highly organised and flexible with time management skills
