Developer – Job Spec
Role: Front-end Developer
Based: Remote (North West-based with regular travel to Warrington office post-lockdown)
Reporting To: Lead Developer

We are looking for a front-end developer who wants to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic
environment, where everyone’s opinions and efforts are valued. You will join a talented, cross-
functional team, responsible for implementing visual elements and their behaviours with user
interactions. You will drive the architecting and building of our flagship application, as well as
coordinating with the team responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure.
You will be supported in fulfilling the following responsibilities:
Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Integrate third-party APIs
Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Our required knowledge, skills and experience for this role include:
Experience with cloud platforms and familiarity with Azure
Experience creating responsive and mobile web design implementation
Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
Good knowledge of CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS
Experience with testing tools/frameworks
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around
The working week consists of 40 hours, which are flexible as long as you cover core business hours
of 10:00am-4:00pm each day. You may be asked to work outside these hours from time to time as
the needs of the business arise. We’re all working from home at the moment however, when we
begin to return to ‘normality’, we expect to work from our office in Warrington anywhere between 1
to 3 days per week. We’ll be pretty flexible with office days but please take this into account if you
live outside the North West area. Other than the minimum requirement of meeting up once a
week, you can work wherever you want (just make sure you have good internet access)!
