About the Team:
Technical support and Management of fixed and mobile transport network that provides (Business Broadband, Nokia 7750 in Gateway and Mobile backhaul (2G, 3G and 4G services), and Juniper Core and Internet Gateway (Fusion), mostly data services).

Your Role:
The Senior Network Support Engineer is responsible for supporting our Core WAN, LAN and mobile backhaul services as 2G, 3G and 4G. This includes responsibility to deliver tangible results based upon network performance and uptime as well as the true end-to-end customer experience.

The role holder must be to a Cisco CCNP level of qualification and have at least 5 years’ experience working

Within an ICT managed services organisation. The focus is on a deep and extensive understanding, knowledge and experience on Cisco routers, switches, Alcatel/Nokia routers, Juniper routers and Cisco firewalls.

All managed services are delivered against ITIL alignment, ISO 9001, 20000 and 270001 best practices, and often need to conform to industry governance such as N3, PCI, FSA, and IL2/3 compliance.

Responsibilities:
Working on the core, distribution and access of the O2 Transport network
Working on the O2 Transport elements – Nokia 7750 and Juniper core, Firewall, Switches, BRAS and additional services kits
Liaising with vendors and service delivery team on new projects, incidents and escalations and Provide technical and design input to the Design team
Liaise with the backhaul and transit service providers for service issues and upgrades
Carry out ongoing analysis of the network resources and work towards optimising the networks performance
Supporting the M&A packet NMC, GNOC and M&A services teams where necessary and resolving key network issues in time
To manage new requirements to be implemented within the operational Network with a proper change management process
Carry out regular service operational review meetings with internal / external services and facilities providers, and developing and managing any required service improvement plans to ensure that agreed SLAs and internal KPIs are met
Responsible for the preparation of regular operational and technical network performance reporting

Skills & experience:
WAN / LAN experience – implementation, rollout, troubleshooting a large scale corporate or service provider network environment
Strong routing and switching background with both Cisco/Alcatel experience preferred
Strong understanding of MPLS, BGP, MPBGP, VLANS, OSPF, TCP/IP, Ethernet
Excellent technical documentation skills
Experience with Linux, Cacti, HP Openview, other monitoring tools
Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, L2TP and PPP services
Cisco CCNP certification
Juniper JNCIS certification
Alcatel certification would be a plus
Fortinet firewall, Switch (Cisco Catalyst) and Application Switch (Cisco CSS) and F5 experience
