Systems Engineer – Citrix Desktop Virtualisation
The DXC Technology consultant is an experienced, multi-skilled professional, focused on operating and maintaining the operational environments of DXC customers as per the environment design and contractual agreements.
The main goals are to deliver and manage the planned work for our customers, from the initial triage and impact to implementation planning, representation through technical and change advisory boards and handover to the 24*7 team for out of hours implementation, ensuring high availability of the service and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
The Systems Engineer will manage the preparation of any change work for out of hours engineers including regular engagement with project managers and 3rd parties whilst driving continuous improvement to processes and providing operational support end to end in DXC-managed operational environments within Data Centre and Cloud platforms.
The Systems Engineer is motivated to take ownership on improvements, to find innovative ways to maintain and stabilize the ways in which we manage the DXC infrastructure. They will also strive to continuously gain more skills including the willingness to learn Cloud based Technologies.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience
Citrix - XenApp and XenDesktop, Web Interface, Storefront, Netscaler, Provisioning Services (PVS), Licensing
Microsoft Windows Server – Server 2008 R2 through Server 2016
Operations – VMWare, HyperV, XenServer, AppSense, Desktop Now (Invanti), McAfee Web Gateway
Predictive Analytics – NexThink
Monitoring –HPOM, SCOM, Solarwinds, Nagios
Anti-Virus - McAfee EPO, Symantec Endpoint Protection
Print Services – SafeCom, ThinPrint
Powershell awareness and/or scripting ability
