Worley is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our business based in our Stockport office on a contract basis for a duration of 6 months. The role is supporting the construction of a chemical plant in the USA and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing several workscopes, coordinating purchasing with the client and managing the client relationship.
The key scope areas are:
Assist the Project Manager in the operational delivery of the project
Manage interface information and resolve actions resulting from vendor and contractor interface queries
Ensure Technical Governance and Assurance procedures are followed and report as appropriate
Assist with the identification and management of risks and mitigation activity
Collate and manage contractor and vendor performance and report accordingly
Deputise for the Project Manager as required
Review and coordinate changes to technical specifications and requirements
Experience working on multi-discipline, multi-party, multi-culture teams
Significant experience as a project discipline engineer or operations
Experience of both Technical and Engineering Management
Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject OR HND/HNC and preferably membership of appropriate Institute
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Previous working experience in Petrochemcical/ Oil and Gas Industry is essential
IT Literate with MS Office suite, interface management programmes etc.
Articulate and able to communicate and influence at all levels
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple vendor and contractor interfaces
