Purpose of role
Working with the Unified Communications product management team and global product marketing team to facilitate the delivery of products into CDK International operations. Responsible for working with pre-sales, sales, implementation teams, support and training to bring products to market.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Market Research: Engage with customers and prospects to understand the value from existing products, and identify value shortfalls.
Product demonstration capabilities: Configure, maintain and deliver operational demonstration capabilities of communications products throughout CDK International, to support sales and training operations in their use of these systems.
Product development: Perform research spikes to investigate development challenges. Manage the development platform, communications devices and network infrastructure to support development objectives. Investigate product design challenges and propose design solutions. Assist and direct QA processes. Support other development teams to consume communications products throughout CDKI. Maintain and develop end user training content, in support of CDK International training processes.
Aftersales management: Define, document and train support and field operations staff in product capabilities and correct product configuration throughout CDK International. Define and document installation project management process. Investigate, diagnose and propose solutions to identified faults. Define standard server and network configurations suited for deployment. Last line support for support/field/backline. Direct and guide backline support to meet product objectives. Identify potential product issues and define mitigation strategies. Take lead on major projects and fault escalations including liaising with customer to agree plan and communications to reach resolution.
Technology research: Engage partners, suppliers and potential suppliers to understand technology developments that could be leveraged by the product group. Create product prototypes to explore capabilities to feed into the design and development cycle. Test, document and take solution to production.
