The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing strategic projects with the intent of driving positive sustained results and improving key performance indicators. Core areas of focus will include but are not limited to project Management, Planning & Demand Forecasting, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Logistics. The candidate will have a strong understanding of lean principles, proven successful experience implementing process change, with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments, as well as communicate effectively up and down the organizational structure.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Compile and manage key strategic projects meeting defined target dates
Be solution driven helping customers work more efficiently
Effectively communicate all project timelines, deliverables, and risks associated with the completion of each projects' objectives.
Analyze data to determine root-cause and develop long term sustained corrective actions.
Partner closely with the broader organization to implement solutions that minimize disruption to the business and optimize our current network.
Assist all areas where necessary across the business in support of company-wide objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Special projects and other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification(s) a plus
2-5 years of relevant work experience in Logistics, Inventory or Project Management
Successful history of leading, managing, and implementing impactful process improvement projects.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities of others, to take decisive action appropriate to the situation and business plan
Must be a proven self-starter operating with minimal supervision.
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing priorities
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite w/ advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) process
Strong knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement activities
Strong leadership capabilities along with solid judgement and decision-making skills
