Arqiva are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer within our Media Networks division, based at either our Emley Moor, Chalfont or Winchester sites. This role will report into the Newtork Operations Team Leader, working within a team that provide 2nd/3rd line technical support and ensuring that we deliver excellent operational services in line with agreed SLA's on complex IP Networks that are used by some of the biggest broadcaster brands around.
You will be a part of a team that are currently undergoing a netowrk transformation programme that is driven by the need for network, circuit and systems rationalisation. This transformation will ensure that we meet increased consumer demand for for digital content and services using emerging technologies. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to:
Provide technical guidance, on network related work, to technical teams within Arqiva. Ensuring that solutions are provided to fulfill customer requests.
Actively work on service improvement plans to drive service improvements, cost efficiency and performance.
Provide full lifecycle management of network/security devices, including reviewing and implementing network upgrades.
Work with the network engineering teams to ensure network solutions are transitioned into the live environment, in line with service requirements.
Plan and participate in BCDR planning and testing of critical network infrastructure.
To be succesful for this role, you will need extensive experience within a network support role as well as being able to demonstrate experience in troubleshooting complex IP networks. You will also have experience in the following:
Experience reviewing technical designs and transitioning network services into live environments.
Excellent knowledge of Cisco devices including IOS and IOS XR operating systems.
Extensive experience of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF as well as solid Multicast experience.
In depth knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting QOS on complex networks.
Experienced in data centre network technologies and troubleshooting.
Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting wireless network technologies.
Evidence of driving continuous improvement and personal development to meet the technical requirements of future projects.
