The Field Service Engineer will install, maintain and service HBS equipment sites specific to RTT and other Rapiscan systems equipment in the assigned area. Maintain and develop strong relationships with customer, distributor representatives, ensuring Customer Satisfaction.
Installation and service support of Rapiscan’s Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) at our customer’s premises primarily at overseas and occasionally in the UK as well.
Technical: Maintain all Rapiscan products as scheduled primarily at overseas customer sites and occasionally in the UK as well.
Electronic / mechanical: Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-system problems. Proficient IT skills.
Customer skills: Daily interface with operators, technicians and BHS managers on equipment status issues.
Site surveys; Carry site surveys for efficient installation of RTT systems.
Relationships: Helps train others where necessary; participate as active member of Local Customer Teams as appropriate.
Cost awareness: Ensure common practices and efficient methods are applied for Service provided and adheres to SLA requirements.
Administration: Responsibly complete all administration tasks in timely and complete manner.
Documentation: Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair, Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts and file Service Reports promptly.
Installations: Play a key role in complex and multifunctional site installations. Assist senior engineers in installation and other related work. Shares best practices.
Training: Proactively seek training to keep up-to-date with technological developments in own modality/modalities.
Other Duties: As directed by manager or company.
Quality: Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS): Comply with the EHS Policies and applicable laws and regulations. Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.
Shift pattern including call outs may be required as part of the role.
Any other departmental ad-hoc duties when required.

Ability to work on weekends as per business need.
Ability to obtain airport security passes (will require criminal record check and references).
Willingness to travel extensively overseas, at short notice, and stay for periods anywhere from 1-4 weeks as and when required.
Qualified to degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics or equivalent. (HND or above).
Technical analytical & Trouble-shooting skills.
Very good IT Skills with knowledge of networking. PLC knowledge a very good advantage.
2-5 years field service experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of screening or X-ray an advantage although full training will be provided.
Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
High work standards - qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation.
Strong customer communication skills.
