Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley and administers over $400 billion of hedge fund and Private Equity assets. Using the Firm's proprietary, globally accessible technology platform, MSFS provides a full range of fund administration services, including daily accounting and financial reporting; transfer agency and investor services; middle and back-office support; and integrated portfolio analytics. The business is supported by more than 1,000 professionals (Operations and Technology) based in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dublin, Glasgow, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
The Workflow team is a core technology team that sits alongside other technology teams in MSFS. The team works in an Agile environment and is responsible for providing a flexible workflow platform that supports MSFS business processes and aims to provide a unified platform for operations users to efficiently manage their daily workload. The system is currently undergoing a revamp and is in need of business-minded out-of-the-box technological thinkers that will help drive the renovation and be instrumental in creating the next generation MSFS workflow platform which will create efficiency and deliver a productive and engaging experience for the business. The platform technology stack currently consists of an Angular front-end and Java back-end (REST/SOAP, Spring Boot), with heavy use of messaging infrastructure and queues providing required middleware support. Moving forward the strategy is to move to the cloud.
Are you up to date with the latest developments and are always on the lookout for the next framework or tool to boost your productivity or solution? Do you crave flexibility in the design and execution of solutions to business problems? Do you hate it when tests and deployments are not automated? Do you take a step back and look beyond proposed wireframes and visual designs? If yes, then the Workflow team is looking for someone like you to be a part of a new Agile squad that has been briefed with the remit of driving efficiency in the business. You will bring a fresh out-of-the-box perspective and will work on tactical enhancements as well as on greenfield strategic development initiatives - the focus will be on user-centred reusable and extensible framework components and screens.
