Here at Baxi Heating UK, we have created two opportunities for Quality Systems Engineers to join us at both our central services site at Warwick and our main manufacturing facility at Preston.
As Quality Systems Engineers you will ensure our processes and systems are mapped and ultimately meet standards to comply with the requirements of ISO9001 and ISO14001. These roles will be key in the business actively promoting a continuous improvement environment. Additionally, you will manage the results of internal audits and track actions required to ensure compliance. Your expertise will support managers and users of processes to ensure understanding and drive standards with all levels of business systems users.
As Quality Systems Engineer, you will:
Ensure continued accreditation of regulatory standards.
Manage updates or revisions to regulatory standards.
Manage the relationship with external regulatory bodies.
Schedule external audits with required colleagues being available when required.
Host and manage external audit events successfully and cost effectively.
Develop and maintain the external and internal audit schedule
Utilise qualified auditors to ensure non-conformities and required improvements.
Ensure that processes are reliable and fit for purpose.
Identify short falls and work with teams/colleagues to drive improvement.
Publish and track non-conformances, provide updates with corrective actions.
Reporting on progress, roadblocks and successes to top management.
Drive audits, raise awareness, analyse findings and manage corrective actions.
Improve document control and accessibility at point of use.
The maintenance of the standards database.
Develop process maps for continuous improvements.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
Ideally you have several years’ experience as a Quality Systems Engineer.
Great knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001,knowledge of VDA 6.3 is advantageous.
Strong user of Quality tools & techniques such as, SPC, FMEA, trials, audits, PPAP, ISIR, problem solving tools, 8D, control plans and 5s.
Ability to manage and lead improvement plans to conclusion.
Good analytical and diagnostic skills Good organisational skills.
Challenges and promotes best practice & development.
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
Ability to map processes affectively.
Ideally be HNC qualified in an engineering discipline.
Relevant auditing qualification around ISO9001 and ISO 14001.
Green Belt Lean Six Sigma.
Lead Auditor trained.
Knowledge of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
