An opportunity has arisen within the Information Services department for an experienced SQL Developer to join our established team of Software and System Integration Developers in the on-going design, development and maintenance of our Microsoft SQL Servers.
It’s an exciting time to join the team as we build on the success of the implementation of the Trust’s new Patient Administration System (PAS) and continue developing and merging Clinical Systems across the Trust’s Hospitals.
The successful applicant will provide expertise in provision, implementation, maintenance and evolution of the Trust data warehouse, databases and associated technology whilst also ensuring maximum performance from systems.
You will be experienced in administrating Microsoft SQL servers, maintenance plans, database user and security audit with a proven track record on how to achieve maximum database performance by analysing execution plans, indexes, query performance tuning and other SQL best practices.
In addition to this, the team also develop and support systems that require 24/7 up time where application performance and features are paramount. Therefore, web development skills are advantageous however not essential.
A short SQL DBA written test will form part of the interview process.
