Job Title: Quantitative Investment Solutions - Python Engineer

You will be joining the Data Innovations Group (DIG) within Investment Bank Technology which works closely with Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) Research to support their generation of investment products for internal and external clients of the Bank.
Your role will be focused on helping the QIS Research team leverage technology to improve their investment product pipeline. This will include design and build, state of the art Extract Transform Load, back-testing, and simulation services behind a simple Application Programming Interface. Other duties include working with Quantitative Researchers to write efficient quantitative code leveraging your understanding of the Python scientific stack.
This role will provide exposure to building systematic trading strategies across all asset classes so an interest in quantitative investment is essential.

Your key responsibilities
Help apply technology to optimise research and development of QIS products
Developing an understanding the QIS data sources and processes
Participating in design, coding and code review of quantitative code
Working with the team to manage deployment of code into production environments in a safe controlled manner
Work with the wider DIG team to standardise build, deployment and monitoring processes to simplify the environment and reduce the cost of change
Your skills and experience
Good understanding of the Python scientific stack
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle processes and practices in a financial organisation
Experience in Python development (including unit testing)
Experience of Kubernates/ Openshift
Experience of facing off to business customers to gather requirements and discuss solutions
