You will be joining a specialist infrastructure business operating across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, including Water / Wastewater, Highways & Transportation, Building, Structural and Geotechnical engineering.
We have a vacancy in our Belfast office for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team delivering civil engineering projects primarily in water and wastewater infrastructure. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will coordinate feasibility studies, design, planning, procurement and undertake construction stage project management.
What you’ll be doing:
Manages the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of physical infrastructures; ensures compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
Leads the planning, design, construction and maintenance of physical infrastructures, especially large and complex infrastructures, such as roads, bridges, channels and dams.
Oversees the evaluation and inspection of civil engineering projects to ensure that standards and requirements are met.
Reviews and approves technical documentation, such as drawings and specifications, for civil engineering projects.
Supervises adherence to building codes and safety regulations relevant to civil engineering.
Ensuring project financial and programme performance.
What we’re looking for:
A Civil Engineering degree with extensive experience.
Have achieved Chartered status.
Demonstrable technical experience in delivery of Water and/or Wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure design and build projects. This may include gravity/pressure pipelines, pumping stations, treatment facilities and RC structures etc.
Leading multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver projects within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.
Excellent knowledge of the Water industry, including current industry best practice and innovations.
