TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
What your background should look like:
Completion of complex tasks using own judgement and initiative
Inspection and testing of received component parts and products.
Provide timely quality planning support for products and processes.
Develop and implement quality improvement programs.
Lead teams to solve problems, with emphasis on root cause analysis – PPSR Process / 8D Reports.
Reduce costs and improve processes within the factory.
Lead assembly teams in meeting cost, quality and delivery requirements.
Internal product / process audits.
Resolution of quality problems.
Liaison with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
Support the maintenance of the ‘Quality Management System’.
Deliver Quality related training to production teams & supervision.
Preparation of performance data and reports.
Track and detail product history through accurate record keeping and charting techniques.
Perform statistical process evaluations based upon department needs.
Ensure that non-conforming products are properly handled via Non-Conforming Materials process.
Assist in parts/materials qualification and in the execution of first article inspection activities and reports.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI)
Achieve Goals within Budget & On Time
Qualifications & specialist training required:
Formal qualification in engineering, degree or diploma (mechanical or electrical depending on role).
Formal background in engineering/QA (mechanical or electrical/electronic depending on role).
Knowledgeable in writing manufacturing procedures to QMS requirements.
Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Standard
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Understanding of auditing process.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Management of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Problem Solving Skills – 5 Why, 8D, Ishikawa
Knowledge of Lean Methodologies – 5s, TPM, Std Work,
Trained Internal Auditor
