As a General Manager for SG Turbo Projects, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Turbo project management team and overseeing the department workload and resource allocation. You will be responsible for the development of the PM process within the Turbo Value Stream and for continuous improvement initiatives within the PM team and wider business/departments. In this role you will be responsible for working across the HCO PM function to ensure alignment and consistency of the PM process, standards and capabilities, whilst acting as a point of escalation for the Project Managers to assist them in resolving major project issues.
You will lead/provide/develop commercial support to deliver P&L results across the portfolio of Turbo projects including the financial reporting of the same, as well as manage internal/external resource to ensure successful completion of projects. You will also manage the HCO/Client relationship, and projects cash flows, budgets and improve project margins.
What Needs To Be Done?
Lead the Turbo Project Execution team by developing the departments execution strategy, prioritising CI initiatives and ultimately executing the annual operating plan to deliver financial commitments to the business
Co-ordinate, prioritise, monitor, document and ensure cost targets, resource requirements, risks and contingencies are actively managed to ensure the successful delivery of the projects
Attend appropriate internal and external meetings, to ensure compliance to HCO/Client requirements
Interpret and implement contract terms & conditions including LoC’s, performance bonds and invoicing
Manage project cashflows, maintain up-to-date project costs and provide periodic reports on project status and performance to management and the client
Resolve issues arising from deviations to original contractual requirements and the control of cost amendments for such deviations
Support HBE principles by optimising efficiencies through reduction of costs and improvement of quality and delivery
Load dependant, the team manager may be required to project manage their own projects on an interim basis
Ensure adherence to company environmental, health and safety standards in compliance with company policies to ensure a safe working environment and the minimisation of environmental impact

Highly developed skills via working on projects with worldwide and multi-cultural client base
Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Demonstrate an understanding of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Water industries and Rotating Equipment
Proven experience of managing project commercial performance

A general understanding of compressor system packaging technical requirements
