Ultra Electronics – EWsT Limited - EW Simulation Technology Limited (EWST) is a UK Company specialising in the design and manufacture of Multi-Spectral Threat and Countermeasures Stimulators for Electronic Warfare (EW) test, evaluation and training.

EWsT is located on the secure Cody Technology Park (site of the former Royal Aircraft Establishment) close to the towns of Farnborough and Fleet. The site offers an excellent range of onsite amenities including conference facilities, informal meeting areas, a 200 seat restaurant, a café and a gym. Outside, there are jogging and cycle routes around the 195 acres of woodlands surrounding the Park
Working within EWsT and based in Ultra’s Farnborough facility, the Quality Test Engineer will ensure quality is implemented in line with EWsT and customer specifications/requirements whilst verifying that defined quality objectives and deliverables are consistently met and reporting through line management when they are not.
Carry out goods inward, in process and final inspections to verify that defined process is consistently producing product that meets all applicable specification including faultfinding of failing units.
Be able to test electronic and RF modules and be be confident in using Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Power meters and PAT testers.
Be able to run Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), knowledge of Labview would be advantageous
Provide support to process owners and their teams in non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions such that continual improvement is assured and repeat defects do not occur.
Implement and improve the quality processes within CIS to ensure that the quality of the company’s products and services meets the needs of our customers and that quality procedures employed are cost effective and efficient.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Promote a quality-focused culture within the business.
Any other duties as and when required.
Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual.
Be a structured self-disciplined person.
Ability to correctly analyse and interpret test specification, drawings, schematics, data sheets, wiring diagrams, components, specifications and other engineering documents
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
Possess a full UK driving license and be able to travel within the UK when required
BTEC Level 3, ONC or equivalent qualified, ideally in an electronics or mechanical field or may have equivalent verifiable experience.
Experience in a quality/inspection role and be confident in using Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Power meters and PAT testers.
Experience of Labview tools or similar and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
Experience of Manufacturing/Production processes and techniques desirable.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.
IPC610 and IPC-620 trained.
Experience of being an internal quality auditor.
Experience in a Health & Safety role would be an advantage
Knowledge of calibration requirements would be an advantage
