My client is an international biotechnology company with 19 locations across 12 countries. Their teams are currently researching to find the next drug in the fight against cancer, as well as working in other areas such as Covid mutation testing kits. They are looking for a software engineer to join their team in Cambridge to work on their machinery which aids in patient diagnosis.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working within a team of 6, developing their software applications to help further aid patient diagnosis
Documenting code according to the best professional practice
Creating solutions by working with software developers, lab scientists, data analysts and other stakeholders
Generating specifications for software systems after gathering requirements
Your ideal profile will include:
Experience working with both python and linux/unix
Knowledge of other programming languages (Java, Go, C#) is highly desirable
Previous exposure to genomics data
Experience working with agile methodologies
