Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a opening to join our organization.
The post holder supports the Quality department to ensure that the quality management system is capable, is in place and is followed to deliver consistent quality of products to be compliant to industry and customer standards. The main objective is ensuring output from the site meets with the required standard. Working within a small team you will take ownership of all quality aspects for your team and flow this out with your team to ensure all aspects are dealt with in a timely manner. There will be an element of prioritization to which you need to be able to identify within the team. Highlight negative trends to enable improvement workstreams to develop from this and to drive preventative measures through to production by identifying and realizing mitigation activities via improvements of datacards / work instructions.
Act as the customer / supplier interface as and when required.
Drive preventative measures through to production by identifying and realising mitigation activities through the application of APQP methodologies (Critical Item Assessments, DFMEA’s, PFMEA’s Control Plans).
Contribute to the quality management strategy and plans, systems, timescales and financials.
Administration of efficient quality tracking system to measure performance against established standards. Take necessary corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Obtain and / or maintain certifications created/maintained by external bodies (industry, customer, regulatory, etc.), and identifies where their requirements can be integrated within internal quality management systems.
Coordinate training to ensure staff awareness on quality issues across all departments.
Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary to contribute to plans for compliance and improvement.
Participate in product quality improvement activities e.g. such as product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
Contribute to supplier quality strategy and plans, systems, timescales and financials.
Contribute to export compliance strategy and plans, systems, timescales and financials, to ensure compliance with all external bodies (industry, customer, regulatory, etc.).

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Technical bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience will be considered.
5 years’ experience at Quality / Engineering team leader level or better, experience in managing a Quality/ Engineering function / Quality Engineers in aerospace industry desirable, other industries will be considered with a similar regulation requirements/ boundary conditions.
In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, Nadcap, etc.), quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.) required.
Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement / Problem-Solving techniques and tools, Lean six sigma experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality management systems, change management experience desired.
Proficiency with MS Office, databases.
Strong influencer who can effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
Organized and attention to detail required.
Sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and focus to recognize critical path activities and achieve business goals and objectives.
