The business area of Industrial Equipment relates to our products, which ranges from industrial cranes, workstation lifting systems and includes components such as wire rope hoists and electric chain hoists. The role we are recruiting for is based at our factory in East Kilbride, where we manufacture our industrial cranes.
We are now recruiting an electrically-biased Factory Maintenance Engineer to join our team based onsite in East Kilbride, this is a brand-new role and as such we are looking for candidates who not only come with suitable and relevant experience, but who are a self-starter and possess good energy-levels.
Your main responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and reactive repairs of machinery, including those relating to electrical issues, such as lighting
Site facilities management
Producing effective maintenance schedules and ensuring they upheld
Managing subcontractors across a range of specialist areas and associated processes
Ensuring safety inspections are carried out and documented appropriately
Carrying out risk assessments and writing method statements
What we are looking for in you:
You must be apprentice-trained or equivalent and fully conversant with electrical engineering disciplines
IOSH qualified with experience of carrying out risk assessments and method statements
Safety Inspection experience
Environmental experience, including waste management is desirable
Willingness to work extra hours – this attracts paid overtime
Hold a FLT licence, desirable but not essential as training will be given
