IT Service Desk Engineer - Band 3 - IM&T - 37 hours per week - permanent
Are you looking for an opportunity to join a team of dedicated individuals during a particularly exciting period in the Trust’s technological development?
The IM&T department is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to join the small but busy Service Desk Team. The IT Service Desk represent the front door to IT Services and so is a highly customer focussed interface seeking to resolve many of our user issues at the time when they first call. Where a first-time fix is not possible the IT Service Desk will manage the handover of the call to one of the IT services group or to the correct third-party organisation. Once handed over the IT Service Desk will continue to manage the user relationship ensuring that the user if informed of progress and update as their call is brought to resolution.
The successful applicant must be able to manage their own workload, ensuring accuracy in their work and demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills. A keen and self-motivated individual who can integrate quickly within an established team are key factors of the post.

CAR PARKING - This post does not entitle you to apply to park on the Hospital site. The Trust offer parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack.
If required to work on a weekend, the restriction does not apply. Parking is allowed on site Saturday and Sunday provided a day ticket (£2.10) is clearly displayed.
For posts that include “on call” duties successful candidates will need to complete an application form for access through the barriers from the car park office.
