You will join our Energy Strategy and Planning department
As our new Graduate Energy Engineer you will be part of the District Energy department and responsible for developing whole energy system net zero strategies, masterplans, conceptual designs and policy advice to government, public sector and major national and international organisations. Our solutions are applied at both city and local scale and involve heat, power and transport. We work on projects across the UK and frequently involving multiple disciplines to deliver sustainable solutions. We also work with our international colleagues who provide us with world class knowledge and experience.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Participate in projects involving developing energy strategies, masterplans, feasibility studies, concept designs
Analyse client needs, produce reports including designs, calculations, specifications
Attend client meetings and site visits
Support projects in design and development phases
Support business development activities including; writing bids, growing networks within Ramboll, maintaining existing client relations and developing new business
Your key deliverables within the first 12 months will be:
Participate in a number of energy systems projects
Enhance technical/engineering skills and become proficient in relevant software packages and design tools (EnergyPro, System Rørnet, etc)
Proactively engage with the wider team and become a ‘go to’ project team member

Good mechanical, chemical, process or energy engineering related degree, ideally with a post graduate qualification in renewable energy systems, district heating or similar
Understanding of energy systems, both current and emerging
Understanding of government net zero policy objectives
Understanding of zero carbon technologies
