The GGR Group Ltd is Europe’s leading supplier of vacuum handling equipment, restricted access lifting machinery and mini cranes for the construction, rail and utility sectors amongst others and is seeking a highly motivated Apprentice to join our Engineering Department.
Key areas of development:
Attend college as necessary and complete all modules on time and to the best of your ability.
To work within relevant departments within the Company as directed to develop understanding of key processes and procedures.
To assist the Service department with the day-to-day duties in the workshop.
Assist with the cleaning & testing of hire equipment on its return.
Offering support in the Service workshop keeping all equipment in a state of readiness and making sure tools and consumables are available.
Occasionally, working off-site, with senior Service Engineers, helping with installation, commissioning, testing and servicing of equipment and systems.
Providing support for Engineers and other departments at the request of the management.
Understand and adhere to all company legislative and health & safety policies and procedures
Management may, from time to time, require you to carry out tasks in addition to your normal duties, provided these tasks are both reasonable and within your capabilities.
A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade 5 and above including English, Science and Maths.

Engineering Maintenance (MOET) Level 3

Delivery of Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) at College (Knowledge).
Level 2 Functional Skills (if not exempt)
End Point Assessment
On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, this could lead to an offer of a full time Engineering role in one of our Engineering departments.
