At Oxford Instruments, we enable the world’s leading industrial companies and scientific research communities to image, analyse and manipulate materials down to the atomic and molecular level. Our customers use our NanoScience ultra-low temperature and high magnetic field environments to go beyond what was once thought possible, whether that’s creating Nobel Prize winning materials or developing quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems.
Would you like to work with cutting edge technology, helping to develop products of the future and supporting world-class manufacturing practices?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team, working across the Nanoscience business, including Product Development, New Product Introduction, as well as supporting our Manufacturing Technicians.
In this role you will be the manufacturing representative during New Product Introduction and Continuous Improvement Programmes, helping us to achieve design for excellence and a seamless introduction to Manufacturing, Service and Supply. You will be responsible for writing and testing processes to assemble new products (including researching tools and methodologies), making engineering changes and tracking those changes, as well as providing technical support to the Manufacturing Technicians and ensuring that our products are fully compliant with the latest regulations.
You are likely to have either an HNC or degree in an engineering or science discipline, with relevant work experience within an engineering environment. You will have worked within New Product Introduction of mechanically based products previously, ideally with fluid and/or vacuum technologies. Testing experience (electrical and wiring) would also be desirable but the most important element is that you will have built the products yourself.
In addition to a competitive starting salary, Oxford Instruments offers flexible working hours and a half-day on Fridays, 25 days annual leave, private healthcare, a share incentive plan, a defined contribution Group Personal Pension Plan, and a flexible benefits package that you can tailor to your own requirements.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
