Job Description

About the Position

In the factory in Telford we produce our food service products. As Reliability Engineer you are part of the Manufacturing Team of our Site in Telford. The role reports into the Engineering manager. You will partner with production team on site to provide pro-active maintenance and technical support to the operations and engineering team. The role also involves leading a robust engineering team to provide proactive thinking and behaviours to minimise downtime on the plant.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute the preventative maintenance plan within agreed time scales and are optimised to minimise expenditure
Use SAP to develop a planned maintenance strategy.
Use root cause analysis techniques using collected data supporting equipment failures and systems to reduce line down time.
Comply with all work place health and safety and food quality regulations to ensure timely closure of agreed corrective actions
Coach the line engineers and operators to improve the knowledge across the site
Deliver innovation and continuous improvement to reduce downtime caused by maintenance and equipment failures
Manage part of the engineering and maintenance spend, identifying cost reduction opportunities
Departmental engineering contractor management
Manage minor Capital Projects to completion
Develop cross functional relationships with internal customers and suppliers to maximise the effectiveness of the manufacturing function

Requirements:
Recognised Engineering qualification is essential, HNC/HND/degree desirable.
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience ideally FMCG
Some knowledge TPM/Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
Competent on MS office software
Siemens S7 experience desirable
