Our Internship Placement Programme is an opportunity for UK and International students to undertake work experience during or after their studies at University. Applicants must be currently studying towards or recently completed their degree (within the last two years). We are looking for an Intern to join our team for a period of 9 months starting from August 2020 to May 2021

Whilst the successful applicant will focus towards starting an engineering career within our Body & Trim department focussing on interior materials and technologies, it will also provide you with a wide range of skills, focus and experience to start the journey towards becoming our next generation of business leaders and technical experts.
This internship will be based within our Materials Team in the Body & Trim Engineering department and the successful candidate will be contributing towards:
Taking a concept design and transforming it into a production ready feature.
Sensuous Refinement is the focus and the team ensure that the structure of the car is engineered to maximise interior and exterior execution, making a Bentley both safe and refined on the road.
The main objectives of a Material team engineer is to identify and develop new materials and processes to offer luxurious and differentiating solutions while ensuring the technologies meet cost, quality, sustainability and compliance requirements. This can be achieved either by refining existing know-how or looking into new processes.
We know that everyone and every role is important in our ongoing success. We are looking for an extraordinary person who is studying for or have completed a degree in a related subject within the last 2 years and are on target to achieve or achieved a 2:1 or above.
We understand that you may have limited work experience but you should have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, possess good interpersonal skills, initiative and the enthusiasm to achieve. Quality in our business is top priority and we need individuals who can demonstrate a high focus on quality and a right first time attitude.
Skills and experience required:
Applicants must have a strong understanding of core engineering principles
Previous experience in the Automotive or related industry through internship, placements or work is highly advantageous
A second language, particularly German beneficial
Specific technical knowledge or qualifications required:
You must be on a course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Engineering related discipline, ideally Materials Engineering or Materials Science (achieved or expected)
You must be able to demonstrate a strong consistent academic record through all your university years and A-levels (or equivalent)
