You will join our Buildings Department
As our new Associate Façade Engineer you will be part of an expanding North West team based in the vibrant City of Manchester. Some of the regional projects we are currently involved with include the St Johns Development, Manchester New Square, Theron Tower, and One Centenary Way.
Located centrally in the city, the bustling areas of Deansgate and Spinningfields are on the doorstep along with many of our ongoing projects. The Metro system provides great transport links around the city, and key mainland train stations are also within easy walking distance. Ramboll operates a flexible working policy, and with this you will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respect each other and work towards a common goal.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Manage the day-to-day activities in the team, both from a commercial and technical perspective, providing guidance to junior staff
Represent Ramboll at external client meetings responding to their requirements and needs
Understand and manage costs within budget Energetically play a central and leading role in the Façade Engineering team, contributing to team morale and fostering collaboration.
The key deliverables over the first 12-24 months for this role will be:
Generate business value by innovatively influencing the markets in which Ramboll operates and in positioning Ramboll, its portfolio and its capabilities positively within them
Develop client business relationships through building trust and open communication
Create, develop and grow business value from the client relationship, effectively leveraging capabilities across the Ramboll portfolio to the benefit of the client by demonstrating market-place knowledge and insight

Educated to a degree level in a structural / civil engineering or Architectural discipline
A MSc in Façade Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable
Proven experience in a consultancy or similar façade design engineering role with UK and/or European experience.
Experience of work winning and developing trusted client relationships
Experience in team mentoring and management
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
