Production Engineers will be responsible for the overall build quality of the CHP unit which includes preparation of the engine in fitting standard and contractual equipment, preparation of the bedframe in fitting cable looms and small bore pipework, assembly of engine and alternator to bedframe, fitting and wiring of control panel and fitting of acoustic enclosure. They would also be responsible for the recording of serial numbers and completion of the engine build documentation.
Desirable skills but not limited to:
Previously worked on/around CHP plant.
Working on engines/generators
Working on/with Instrumentation
Working in an industrial manufacturing/repair environment (e.g. Compressor engineers, pump manufacturers, engine manufacturers etc)
Craft/engineering qualification (city and guilds, ONC or HNC)
Engineering/maintenance background (suitable for electricians, panel wiremen, instrumentation engineers, fire alarm engineers, pipe fitting/assembly)
Some knowledge of assembly/fitting/repairs to machinery
Good problem-solving ability
Good IT skills
Overtime paid at 150%
Bonus System (Between 10% and up to a maximum of 25% of base salary)
