An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Britten Norman. Due to ongoing growth we are now recruiting for a Flight Test Engineer to join us at our Research & Development team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for company flight test engineering, trials programme management, safety and participation in test flying.
Main tasks will include but are not limited to:
Manage the flight testing programme and operational trials
Prepare flight test documentation
Coordinate the certification program when required for flight test
Plan, conduct and debrief flight tests
Control and plan of all company pilot requirements
Key Skills and Attributes:
General understanding of aerodynamics and aircraft systems
Detailed understanding of flight test engineering principles
Proficient in MS Office applications
A positive attitude & enthusiastic to work in growing company
Proactive with strong attention to detail
Once established in the role confident to work autonomously
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
5 GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade C or above
Engineering HND, HNC or Degree
FTE course graduate – Desirable
Chartered Engineer – Desirable
General understanding of aerodynamics
Detailed understanding flight test engineering including flight test instrumentation
Demonstrable experience working in a civil or military flight test environment
33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank and Public Holidays)
