MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading Engineering firm to source an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a leading organisation in the North West which is continuing to grow; this is a new role within the team representing this ongoing investment in the business.
You will lead the activities concerning the technical elements of the contract, including drawing generation, modification and approval; ensuring the MV equipment complies with each client’s specifications as well as compliance with the correct QA procedures. You will be utilising modern IED type relays across a variety of equipment. You will also have the ability to develop and lead a team of Project Engineers.
It is desirable, but not essential, if you have experience within Data Centre, Commercial, Renewable and Power Utility sectors; experience in writing and completing FAT and SAT documents; experience in Differential Protection systems, blocking systems and inter-trip schemes; or experience of design calculations and protection studies (short circuits, earthing, thermal etc.).
You will receive a competitive salary as well as a full benefits package including a profit-share bonus scheme. There will be occasional travel to client sites where you will be further reimbursed with overtime and site rates.
