My client is looking for an apprentice to learn engineering skills and work towards a career in Engineering.
Using measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, Micrometres and callipers
Using bench fitting techniques and hand tools
Understand drawings and working to customer specifications
Working with Hi-Tech components
Learning how to work safely around machinery
Working with different materials: Stainless / Brass / Aluminium
Learning how to use preventative measures before running a machine
Prior to starting employment, all applicants will be required to attend LEMA for a 6-week pre-apprenticeship in preparation for employment. Once in employment, training is completed both in the workplace, and via day release to LEMA, with 2 portions of block release weeks.
During the apprenticeship, the successful applicant will receive qualifications as follows:
Level 1 – Pre-Apprenticeship – EAL Certificate in Engineering
Level 2 – Improving Operational Performance: Performing Engineering Operations
Level 3 – Will be a bespoke qualification pathway, dependant on the units selected.
