Job Summary:
Junior Manufacturing Engineer to support Senior manufacturing engineers day to day workload.
The Junior engineer will be involved with day to day manufacturing activities whilst shadowing the senior engineering team which consists of : Manufacturing, Applications, Quality, Metrology & continuous improvement.
This is a diverse role with excellent opportunity to grow within the business.

The Person:
Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
Experience in fixture/tooling design
Pro-active approach
Can do attitude
Wants progression and growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Implementation of new manufacturing techniques
Engineering Drawing Reading and Interpretation
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Process Development & Improvements
Fabrications experience – Desirable
Inspection Planning Activities
Interface with Program Management and Customers
Review conceptual and development designs for cost, quality, manufacturability, and yield
Ensure Design benefit from the APQP DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP
Ensure Product benefit from the Flawless Launch of DFM Scorecard, Heat Map, PRR, and MRA
Interface with Engineering and Sourcing to identify Suppliers meeting capacity, cost, and capability goals
Identify and manage new product assembly, test, or tooling Capital needs
Interface with Production Cell(s) to ensure smooth Production Transitions
Provide scheduling, planning, and budget management to Program Management as required

Remuneration:
£25000-£35000 per annum
185 hours annual leave + bank holidays
