About the role
Here at Babcock International, we are looking to recruit a Media Developer to support training for the Defence School of Marine Engineering at HMS Sultan. W e provide training delivery, training design, training planning & scheduling, media & graphics and equipment support.
Advances in virtual learning have allowed Babcock to collaborate with the Royal Navy to create a virtual reality trainer to enhance marine engineering diagnostic competency.
This is a fast-paced, creative environment that requires innovative problem-solving capabilities, applied technology enhanced learning (TEL) and the ability to take complex learning subjects and help make them accessible using graphic, audio-visual, 2D and 3D content?
The Media team provide content creation services and technology enhanced learning solutions. Working in collaboration with customers, Subject Matter Experts and other media specialists, the Media team create and develop digital and print materials to support training, enhance projects and realise new business concepts.
As a Media Developer, you will ideally have a variety of applicable creative skills and expertise, including digital, print, photo and video specialisms. Ideally, you will be able to exhibit examples and understanding of the following criteria:
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or 3 years’ experience working in a digital media/graphic environment
Strong portfolio of successful creative projects, across different media types – 2D/3D print, graphic and digital
Experience of rapid development e-learning tools (e.g. Articulate, Storyline, Captivate)
Proven experience of e-Learning development – from brief to end user
Experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment (preferably Moodle)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite / Microsoft Office
Experience of 3D modelling/multimedia creation – Autodesk 3DS Max / Unity
Experience of audio, image and video production
The successful candidate is able to successfully work and deliver on multiple projects at any one time, actively communicating with stakeholders of all levels to ensure products meet customer requirements within designated timescales.
