Lead the process engineering and project management systems team within the chromatography business in Portsmouth.
The Manager of the Skids Project team will be responsible for leading department of Project Managers and Process Engineers. Responsible for planning of work through the department, leading the team operationally and technically and when required supporting indicative's to drive continuous improvement within the business.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Lead and develop the Skids project team.
Financial responsibility ensuring products are meeting the budget
Consult holistic end-to-end innovation processes: concept consulting and production (feasibility studies, cost of goods etc.), selection of technologies, development of customer-specific engineering services
Harmonize global processes and workflows as well as further development of the holistic strategy (eg Conceptual Design)
Identify potential for improvement in own area of responsibility and optimization of cooperation with other departments
Integrating the products into the Sartorius design platforms
Area tracking of KPIs
Support for development of tools and standards in global environment
Local process improvement including up to date procedures and protocols
Manage and deliver technical projects directly to our customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Successfully completed a university degree in bioprocess engineering / bioengineering or a comparable qualification
Strong professional experience in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology combined with leadership experience
Proven experience in the execution of complex projects on a global scale
Proper English skills and willingness to travel
Goal-oriented work, spontaneity and the ability to find creative solutions
Downstream equipment SME is desirable
