More About the Role
Due to continued growth an opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic multi skilled engineer to join our team within the Maintenance Department, based at our head office and distribution centre in Preston. This is a challenging but rewarding hands on role that will see you working across all aspects of the business, inclusive of our manufacturing sites at Accrington & Bolton. To carry out electrical, mechanical, fabric repairs/maintenance as required as this is a multi-skilled role which covers both reactive and planned preventative maintenance with additional out of hours cover. You will be required to help support and develop other engineers within the department, with a strong emphasis on working as part of a team.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
To carry out statutory requirements, planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
Complete all documentation (paper or electronically) required for technical standards, audits, engineering records, machine history and data, inclusive of stock control.
Full understanding and compliance with company requirements regarding health and safety, personal and food hygiene.
Supporting and training other engineers and working as a team as required in day to day operations.
To respond to callouts and cover breakdowns and emergencies as required, as part of a 24/7 – 365 days a year shared rota.
A Few Things About You
Conversant with Food Manufacturing, Bakery and Process Machinery.
Ability to multi task with strong organisational skills.
Ability to read schematic drawings.
Refrigeration experience advantageous.
A flexible and open minded approach is important.
Ability to work, safely, hygienically and independently, using own initiative.
Ideally multi-skilled engineer, minimum apprentice trained engineer (mechanical or electrical).
Knowledge and competency working within a manufacturing environment.
City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, including transmission plant equipment such as conveyors, belts and motors.
Flexible approach to working additional hours, in line with operational demands.
Clean driving licence
