We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to assist the Engineering Manager in the maintenance of grounds, building fabric, building services and all equipment in a cost effective manor, ensuring compliance with all current National legislation and Spire policies. As Maintenance Technician you will also maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all staff and customers.
Working as part of the engineering team reporting to the Engineering Services Manager you will be required to carry out planned and preventative maintenance and repair of all engineering services and equipment and have the ability to solve problems when required.
You will work with the team to provide an out of hours emergency on-call service on a rotational basis and an in-house day to day maintenance service to all departments attending to reported defects.
You will previous have experience of a maintenance role with a broad base of engineering background knowledge and have a flexible attitude and be willing to work in a multi-skilled role within a hospital environment with a wide range of specialist services.
You will have a willingness to undergo further training and be able to prioritise your work against resources. It is essential that you are proactive and able to work without supervision
You will have:
Ordinary National Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
A driving license is essential.
