Due to the lengthy training program required to fully train an individual as a Field Service Engineer, Bayer Radiology are running an Apprenticeship training program in order to have a qualified person ready to step in to an open position should one become available.
The position will require the engineer to attend hospital Radiology departments in order to carry out maintenance, repair and installation of Bayer medical equipment.
Initial responsibilities of this role will be to attain experience of field service activities, and to gain an understanding of working within the NHS and private sector healthcare environments.
Gain an understanding of the NHS healthcare system, private sector healthcare system, and how the two models differ
Develop an understanding of the specifics of the field service role through close monitoring and working with a supervising engineer
Become fully trained on a variety of Bayer Radiology equipment
Plan/schedule and perform on-site service support as required including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, breakdown repair and installations
Provide technical phone and email support where required
Keep accurate records of all work carried out through the correct usage of the Radiology service tool
Accurate record keeping of service stock and calibration tools
Adhere to all department and company processes, and compliance requirements, including the completion of regular online training courses
Ensure that Radiology service achieves 100% customer satisfaction and appropriately supports the Radiology and Interventional functions through reputation
Qualification & Competencies:
English GCSE (or equivalent), Grade 4 or above
Mathematics GCSE (or equivalent), Grade 4 or above
Ability to read basic mechanical drawings
Ability to display a basic understanding of, and identification of parts on electronic circuit boards
Minimum two years driving experience with full clean driving licence
Ability to travel Internationally and nationally with some over night stays possible at times
Must live on territory – London, Greater London, Surrey, South East
Available to attend East Surrey College 1 day per week
