The Solution Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of our customers working on Digital Design & Test applications. You help our customers to find the best measurement solution for their application, selection of Keysight products, software and measurement expertise.
You are working in close cooperation with our sales organization, helping to qualify business opportunities and choose the best technical solution approach from conception to delivery.
Typical customer applications are Transmitter and Receiver Test
Memory Devices in DDR/LPDDR5, HMC, ONFI, UFS
Computer Interfaces like PCIe, USB3.2/4.0 / C-Type, SATA/SAS
Video/Multimedia Standard MIPI M-PHY/D-PHY, HDMI, Display-Port
Photonics/Coherent Test Solutions for 100G/400G (IEEE standard), OIF-CEI standard, PAM4
FPGA signal processing
Jitter tolerance, stress eye mask tests, packet decoding and protocol analysis
Compliance and Signal Integrity measurements
Our customers are in the Automotive (Automotive Ethernet, Autonomous Driving, Infotainment), Data-Center, Mobile Communications (5G and IoT Deployment) and Aerospace&Defence Industry. You are in front of University Research and R&D and Manufacturing engineers working in the industry in front of future technologies.
A comprehensive technical training program, complemented by the development of professional skills required in a sales and services environment, will enable an effective start in your new position.
The position requires a University Degree in electrical /communications engineering, physics or equivalent course of study and 2-5 years professional experience in digital debug and design verification.
The following job-related skills are required
Practical experience in digital design verification and debugging
Practical experience in using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Probing Solutions, Bit Error Rate Testers, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Vector Signal Analyzers and Photonics Test Instruments
Understanding of Signal Integrity in theory and practice
Knowledge in Memory Architectures like DDR3/4/5, High Speed Computing (e.g. PCIe, USB), Datacom Interfaces (e.g. SATA, Ethernet) and Multimedia interfaces (e.g. MIPI M-PHY, D-PHY, HDMI, Display Port)
Programming skills applied in a T&M environment using programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, Matlab, Visual Basic or C/C++/C#
Understanding of I/O connectivity, FPGA blocks and instrument drivers
The complexity of the business environment in a fast-growing market demands strong international teamwork with other Keysight organizations and the flexibility to adopt new technologies quickly. A strong customer focus and professional presentation experience is required. The delivery of customer training and seminars requires excellent teaching skills.
We expect teamwork and willingness to travel to customers (25-50% of work-time)
