This role requires the ability to provide high level engineering technical expertise within a specific area to maximise the productivity and achievement of targets of the team\line\plant, in a high-speed production environment, flexible to work predominantly shifts or days as required.
To work closely with the TCA to build a proactive, strong, knowledgeable team to run and maintain the production line to a high level of efficiency.
This role involves accountability and ownership to deliver the line KPI’s to ensure maximum line efficiency.
Capable of leading from the front within a team ensuring the efficient running of a continuous production line, manufacturing high quality products, packaged and prepared for delivery in accordance with customer service requirements.
It involves working in and being responsible for ensuring a safe working manufacturing environment; protective clothing policies, health and safety and hygiene procedures need to be followed.
Scope of Role
The scope of the role is to keep the line running efficiently to achieve the required OEE targets.
Conduct, lead and develop troubleshooting, maintenance and CI activities
Utilise planned downtime effectively to achieve Maintenance daily tasks and Line Improvements.
Drive changeover activity, focus on improving and delivering consistency on start up
Support the training, development of TCA to enable engineering and operational efficiency.
Share expertise, advice, technical support, to improve shift engineering within own Shift and oncoming shifts through effective and accurate handovers.
Delivery against all safety SOPS, policies and procedures
Delivery against all Quality SOPS, policies and procedures
Ensure Quality and Health and Safety KPI targets are consistently achieved as a minimum
Deliver Customer service, OEE, PPM and waste reduction.
Demonstrate a High-level commitment to achieve PDR Objectives.
Production Line experience on high speed packaging equipment in FMCG, Food or Pharmaceutical being KPI focussed
Trained to a Mechanical/Electrical minimum craft level, ONC, HND level preferred with MIG/TIG welding, machining, turning, milling experience as an advantage
Strong pneumatic experience with the ability to read drawings and fault find complex problems
Work under minimum supervision - self starter with ability to react quickly
Analytical skills with drive to implement improvements
Awareness of quality/good manufacturing practice
