DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the Project team, support the development strategy of Flexibles UK.
Liaise with intercompany, intracompany, and external teams and customers to ascertain the project requirements.
Attend/Chair pre-production meetings with clients and customers to review and identify any contractual, technical and risk factors.
Work cross departmentally to negotiate recovery plans with all stakeholders whenever there is any slippage to project schedules.
Review and understand client (internal & external) scopes and contracts ensuring proper reviews and planning is undertaken
Set-up and maintaining Project specific files throughout the Project /Sales order lifecycle.
Part creation, BOM creation and Sales order loading using our Oracle & Teamcenter system.
Produce Internal work instructions packages, which include customer drawings etc.
Produce Project schedules and plans from defined requirements, contracts and specifications.
Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends; recommending actions.
Communicate plans and reports to various interdisciplinary teams and disciplines
Planning and organisation of personal workload.
Prepare cost analysis reports for line manager; recommending actions.
Carry out assigned duties within given timescale.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in work area and department.
Attend meetings where required and communicate actions to others for the successful completion of the project.
Attend project close out meetings and provide input to improvement processes.
Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Be responsible for notifying management of any variation to orders with respect to delivery, quality and cost.
Undertake any training that is deemed necessary for this job role by department manager.
Travel is occasionally required as dictated by project requirements.
- HNC in an Engineering, technical discipline. Project Management qualifications or Business Administration will be considered.
- Tertiary education in an Engineering / Manufacturing discipline.
- Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
- Working experience and technical understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly and inspection techniques
- Experience in managing sales orders from initial award through to delivery.
- Participate/chair production and pre-production meetings with peers and clients.
- Working knowledge within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries
- Working knowledge within an industrial/production environment
Skills, training or special knowledge
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret engineering documents and drawings to enable manufacturing without ambiguity
- ERP System (Oracle)
- Ability to develop and apply appropriate Engineering analyses
