With a growing team of 550+ staff, working across our 12 Rail design offices throughout the UK we are continuing to add to our already extensive and impressive list of project awards.
Due to increased workload we are seeking to recruit a Civil Engineer. The successful candidate will undertake production of Civil design, working as part of a dedicated Civil design engineering team.

In a typical week you will:
Actively contribute to site surveys
Demonstrate a good understanding of the design process
Ability to independently undertake design and assessment work for Civil and Structural designs
Engage in CDM/CSM/risk analyses
Undertake designs to a level that complies with NR, RSSB and British standards
Deputise for the CRE as required
Keep up to date with current NR, RSSB and British standards
Prepare design and assessment reports
Prepare sketch mark ups for team cad technicians
Have a basic understanding of BIM
We want to hear from you if:
Degree qualification in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. BEng/MEng or equivalent) to satisfy the current entry requirements for CEng or IEng
Completion of UK Spec / Engineering Council objectives for CEng / IEng status (or equivalent) and/or appropriate level of experience in a relevant area, confirmed using the authority to work process
Can demonstrate a good understanding of the design process and possess the ability to independently undertake design and assessment work for Civil and Structural designs
Ability to use the design software in the discipline including AutoCAD and Microstation and a basic understanding of BIM
Understand the interfaces between civil engineering and other railway disciplines and how these are managed.
