- Software testing
Location: At our Rugby Office, UK (Office & Home Based)
Terms: Part time, 80 hours per month (Approx. 20 hours per week). Flexible over Monday to Friday.
About The Role
We're now looking for an experienced Software Tester to join our team.
This role is key to ensuring that the systems we build are "right first time". We know and understand that all new software has bugs. Our objective is to locate (and resolve) issues before our customers do.
You'll start by creating a test plan. Based on the requirements document and solution specification for the project, your test plan will contain a set of repeatable test cases to exercise the functionality of the system.
Once the system is deployed to the QA and test environments, you will execute these test cases, both manually and using automated tools.
Having fed back any issues to the developers, you will re-test to confirm that defects found have been resolved.
After go-live, you will help the support team by figuring out how to reproduce issues raised by the user community.
On a strategic level, you will develop our overall test strategy and approach - researching testing tools, automation, and other ways we can improve quality.
You have experience working in software testing
You can communicate directly with developers and with end-users
You're organised (because you have a system)
You are curious, diligent, and have good attention to detail
Nice to haves
It would be great (but not essential) if you have the following skills:
API testing (using Postman or similar tools to test REST APIs)
Experience with test automation tools (such as Selenium)
Experience with performance and load testing
At OpusVL we develop and customise open source business management software.
We’re a multi-disciplined team of developers, people-people, and project management experts. We specialise in helping organisations who find that an 'off the shelf' ERP system doesn't meet their needs, by designing and developing a customised solution that fits.
OK, so that's what we do technically - but at the heart of it is a desire to solve business problems and deliver lasting value. Technology is just a tool to achieve this goal.
